John Arnold & Son, London, Invenit et Fecit, No. 266/567, with London hallmarks for 1812. Fine silver pair-cased pocket chronometer. Double body inner and outer, both polished. White enamel with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Gold "poker and beetle" hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain and maintaining power, typical Arnold spring detent escapement with the detent sunk in the back plate, mono-metallic two-arm balance with poising screws, blued steel flat balance spring. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 56 mm.
