Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1825. Fine and rare gold and enamel form watch, designed as an opening tulip flower with stem. Gold stem with engraved leaves, six interleaved petals enamelled in mottled red and white, three with pearl set stamens, with green base, and opening to reveal the dial on a raised bowl by depressing one of the leaves on the stem. GiIt, full-plate, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-armed balance with flat spring and regulator.Continental cock. In good condition. Dims. 110 x 27 mm.
