Chevalier & Cochet, 4507, Swiss, circa 1825. Fine gold and enamel form watch designed as a mandolin. Two-part, the ribbed back decorated with panels of scarlet guilloche and blue and black with musical trophies and flowers, blue guilloche sound board with white enamel border to the sound hole, black enamelled key board and white enamel head with gold pegs and wire strings, chain suspension. GiIt full plate, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain 3-arm brass balance with flat spring and regulator. Continental cock. Signed on the movement. In good condition. Dims. 65 x 34mm.
