Planchon au Palais Royal, circa 1890. Fine mantel clock in Gothic style, striking in the Dutch style. Made of iron and wood, designed as a Gothic clock. Painted with gilt Gothic Roman numerals centred with an applied brass rosette. Iron hands. Brass, with going barrels, anchor escapement, short pedulum with Brocot suspension. Striking in the Dutch way the hours and the first quarter on the bell, repeating the hour on the gong for the half hours and striking the third quarter on the gong, with a large count wheel on the back plate. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Dim. 60 x 23 x 23 cm.
