Very fine and rare, giIt brass, giant, moo phase, astronomical, four quarter "grande and petite sonnerie", Westminster carillon carriage clock with double calendar and alarm. GiIt bronze "gorge", glazed on ( panels. White enamel with Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the day and the alarm setting, moon phase aperture. Blued steel "pear" hands. Brass with going barrels, platform straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Striking, alarm and repeating on 5 gongs with an optional "grande- petite sonnerie- silence"lever on the base. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Dim. 20 x 12 x 11 cm. Notes "Grande sonnerie" carriage clocks with carillon are extremely rare. This one, also striking four quarters and set with a calendar and an alarm is almost unique.
