Double body outer, Louis XV with chased bezel, the back repousse with a basket of flowers and foliage decoration within radial sectors. Double body inner, bassine, polished White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring with gold inlaid half hour divisions. Gold Louis XV hands. GiIt brass full plate with baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English type cock with garnet endstone. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 44 mm. Notes From an important dynasty of watchmakers working in Geneva since the XVllth century, Jacques Oltramare was known, during the second half of the XVlllth century, as a fine maker of gold and enamel watches, often set with diamonds and other precious stones.
