Anonymous, bearing the Paris hallmarks for 1757-1758. Fine 18 ct. three coloured gold, diamond-set, quarter dumb repeating watch with a matching chatelaine. Double body, Louis XV, the rose-diamond set bezel chased with a floral decoration, the back with a bunch of flowers against a sun-burst pattern, diamond-set push pieces. Five element chatelaine chased with a matching decoration. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring (slightly restored on the border of the winding hole). Diamond-set Louis XV hands. Hinged gilt brass with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock and polished steel end-piece. Repeating on the case by depressing the pendant. In very good condition. Diam. 43 mm.
