Cartier, Paris, No. 9767-9002, made in the 1910's. Fine 18 ct. white gold "taxi" type, keyless dress watch with jumping digital hours. Two piece, "carrure carrée", polished. Silver engine-turned, with jumping hour aperture and Arabic minute ring on the border of the bezel. Blued steel single arrow hand. Notes A similar watch in platinum is described and illustrated in J. Barraca, G. Negretti and F. Nencini Le Temps de Cartier, page 58. "Taxi" is the term used in the manufacturing records to describe this type of watch.
