Lepine à Paris, circa 1780. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel paste-set skeleton watch. Double body, Louis XVI, glazed both faces, with paste-set bezels. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and rose-diamond inlaid half hour divisions. Rose-diamond set Louis XVI hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, the skeletonized back plate applied with a fine pierced rose-diamond set decoration with a small painted enamel portrait of a lady. Signed on the dial. In good condition. Diam. 40 mm.
