Fatton, élève de Breguet, circa 1840. Very fine gilt brass, moon phase, astronomical carriage clock with alarm, thermometer, power reserve indication and special escapement. Glazed, gilt bronze, with four fluted flat columns, the top finely engraved with scrolls of foliage and flowers. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Bluedsteel Breguet hands. Gilt brass dial plate, decorated with engraving to match that of the top, apertures for day, date and phase of the moon, sectors for thermometer and up-and-down scale. Gilt brass, with a large going barrel, duplex escapement with cut bimetallic balance, bluedsteel flat balance spring. Pull wound alarm on a bell, set by means of a button on the top.
