Charles Oudin, Palais Royal 52, Paris, made for the Universal Exhibition, London 1862. Fine and unique 18 ct. gold and rock- crystal mounted quarter-repeating diamond-set keyless fob watch. Three body, "bassine et filets", with rose diamond-set band, pendant and bow, the winding crown in the form of a Royal crown, the back of rock crystal applied with a rose-diamond set spray of flowers within a similar diamond set garter. Rock crystal with applied diamond set motto: " DIEU-MON-DROIT", on black enamel cartouches, in place of conventional numerals. Diamond set "Louis XV" hands. Notes This watch was exhibited at the Universal Exhibition, London 1862 with a rock crystal chatelaine (now lacking). It is described and illustrated in the catalogue under No. 21.
