Saulet à Paris, No. 1264, circa 1830. Very fine and rare 18 ct. gold, silver and enamelled calendar watch, set in a gold mounted musical box made of elm wood. Removable, double body, oval, in silver, with gold cover, fully decorated with a blue champleve enamelled Ducal coat-of-arms and outer foliage and fluorine decoration. Oval, silver engine-turned, eccentric, with Roman numerals and symmetrical date ring. Blued-steel Breguet hands. Gilt brass, bar calibre with going-barrel, cylinder escapement with plain brass three-arm balance and flat balance spring. Signed on the dial and the back. Double body, rectangular snuff box with tortoiseshell border lined with gold. Musical movement controlled by a fly, with pinned cylinder and the comb formed of19 screwed groups of teeth. Signed on the dial and case. In good condition. Dim. 94 x 67 mm.
