A Monsieur Divoff Watch No. 4265, sold on 14 January 1825, for the sum of 2400 Francs. Gold "montre simple", with two barrels, constructed on the principals of the "gardetemps". Notes History: According to the repair books, this watch was returned for overhaul by Monsieur Divoff on 29 May 1828. Note: An elegant example of a fully developed " simple" watch constructed on the principles of the garde-temps. Two barrels are fitted to provide uniform power source, and the train is jewelled throughout. Note the small gold plates attached to the barrel bridges, which are partly visible when the back is turned to "close" the winding apertures.
