American, circa 1840. A southern plantation cherry stained pine overseer's desk, the hinged lid folds back to reveal a storage well with open compartment and two small drawers to the back, over single long drawer, on Sheraton style turned legs. Approximate height 30.5", width 30.62", depth 19.5". Provenance: Acquired from a Washington (Wilkes County), Georgia estate by a private collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
