Ovular portrait depicting a young beauty in 19th century style dress, the figure at bust length wearing a corseted pink and green dress with billowing sleeves with her left arm bent at the elbow and chin resting on her fingers, with a wide brimmed hat atop her head adorned with pink bow and lace edge with its strap tied beneath her chin securing it to her head, the woman set before a landscape setting with sky in view to right. The painting mounted in a gilt frame with ribbon bow to apex. Framed approximately 30" x 22", unframed approximately 26.25" x 20".
