Very fine 18 ct. gold hunting cased keyless pocket chronometer, awarded the "Mention honorable" at the Geneva Astronomical Observatory timing contest 1911-1912. In original fitted box, with certificate. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold «Louis XV» hands. Notes Timing Contest : - Mean average daily rate +/- 0,23 - Restart period + 0,40 - Error of compensation per degree C +/- 0,061 - Mean error in 6 positions +/- 0,23 With 690 marks, this chronometer was the 64th out of 102 classified with more than 600 marks. The first one with 866 and the last one with 600, the maximum being 1000 marks. Hunting cased pocket chronometers with Bulletin d'Observatoire are extremely rare.
