Breguet & Fils à Paris, Swiss, circa 1810. Fine and unusual 18 ct. gold watch with skeletonised movement and special escapement. Double body, Empire, with reeded band and polished back. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. White enamel with Breguet numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. Notes Fine example of watch with unusual skeleton movement and virgule escapement. Although it is signed "Breguet et Fils", unlike the lot 202, this watch cannot be confused with a watch produced in the workshop or under the control of the eninent watchmaker who never used this type of case nor such calibre.
