Not signed, Swiss, made for the Chinese market, circa 1815. Very fine and rare 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearlset, quarter repeating musical watch with centre seconds. Double body, Empire with split-pearl set bezels, the band with champlevé enamelled floral decoration over a red translucent ground, pendant and bow with split-pearl inlaid champlevé enamelled decoration, the back enamel panel painted with a fine composition of summer flowers over a blue ground. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer minute and seconds ring. Blued steel " scotties" bands. Gilt brass, double train, with free standing barrels, inverted cylinder escapement, plain brass three arm balance, flat balance spring. Pin-dise musical train with 28 vibrating steel blades. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
