Ilbery, London, No. 6015, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1815. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl-set, centre seconds watch with special escapement. Double body, Empire, with split-pearl set bezel, pendant and bow, the back panel of blue enamel, with champlevé basket of flowers and cornucopias, painted with children playing with a dove below a Cupid on a cloud (restored). Hinged gold engine-turned cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals. Gold fancy hands. Gilt brass, fully engraved Chinese calibre with free standing barrel, single wheel duplex escapement, plain steel five-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator, diamond end-stone. Signed on the movement. In good condition. Diam. 60 mm.
