Very fine 18 ct. gold keyless pocket chronometer awarded the third prize at the Geneva Astronomical Observatory for the timing contest in 1925. Four body, massive, "demi-bassine", polished, a small monogram engraved on the back. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with a dedication dated 1927. White enamel with Arabic numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. Notes Timing Contest : - Mean average daily rate + / - 0.18 - Restart period + 0.16 - Error of compensation per degree C + / - 0.014 - Mean error in 6 positions + / - 0.81 With 736 marks, this chronometer was the 10th out of 37/classified with more of 600. The first in the trial game 846 and the last 601, on a possible maximum of 1000. 53 chronometer were entered for the contest.
