Very fine and important 18 ct. pink gold, keyless pocket chronometer with one minute tourbillon regulator, awarded the First prize at the Geneva Astronomical Observatory for the timing contest in 1931. With the original antimagnetic stainless concours case, extra silvered two-tone dial and set of blue steel hands. In original fitted box and with the original Observatory Bulletin. Three body, massive, "bassine", polished with concealed hinge. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with bolt Breguet numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. Notes Timing Contest : - S 6.52 - Restart period 0.06 - Error of compensation per degree C +/- 0.033 - S' 2.08 With 782 marks, this chronometer was the 13th out of 50 classified with more of 600. The first in the trial gained 856 and the last 604, on a possible maximum of 1000. 58 chronometers were entered for the contest.
