J. Auricoste (Paris), circa 1920. Fine 18 ct. gold keyless lever watch with split seconds chronograph and instantaneous 30 minute recorder. Three piece, massive, "bassine", polished. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph ring, sunk subsidiary seconds and minute register. Blued steel Breguet hands. Notes Good example of a first class chronograph, sold by J. Auricoste who also used the Trade Mark "Excelsior" as a sub-make for regular watches. Jules Auricoste, rue de la Bootie, Paris, was the successor of E. Thomas.
