L'Epine, Horloger du Roy a Paris, circa 1780. Fine 18 ct. three coloured gold watch. Double body, Louis XVI, chased with a scene depicting Cupid standing by the altar of Love, outer garland and ribbon decoration. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold "beetle" hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 52 mm.
