Very fine 22 ct. gold, hard-stone and ruby set, pair cased, quarter repeating watch. huger double body, bassine, the back engraved with a branch of flowers, the band pierced and engraved with a mask and inhabited foliage. Outer with gold frame inset with panels of mossagate bordered with rubies and divided by pierced ruby-set floral motifs. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel "poker and beetle" hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring and gilt brass English cock. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. Gilt brass dust cap. Signed on the dust cap and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 37 mm.
