Extremely rare and fine silver pocket chronometer with 32 hour power reserve indication. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished. Hinged silver cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds and Up-and-Down scale. Gold "spade" hands. Notes Patek Philippe pocket chronometers with fusee and chain are extremely rare, none being recorded by Martin Huber and Alan Banbery in their book: Patek Philippe - Geneve, dedicated to the pocket watches; moreover, this particular example is fitted with a very large balance with cranked arms to allow room for the helical balance spring, and with an unusual form of spring detent escapement with a crank detent.
