Very fine Fine 18 ct. gold keyless pocket chronometer, in original mahogany fitted box, awarded a Mention Honorable with 627 marks at the Geneva Astronomical Observatory timing contest in 1910. C. Four body, massive, "demi-bassine", polished, the back chased with Art-Nouveau decoration. Gold cuvette, engraved with a dedication dated 1910. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "Louis XV" bands. M. 17", "Extra quality", rhodium plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 21 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance adjustment by Notes Timing contest: - Mean average daily rate +/- 0,21 - Restart period + 0,16 -Error of compensation per degree C +/- 0,082 - Mean errer in 6 positions +/- 0,51 This chronometer with 627 marks was the 90th out of 106 classified with more than 600 marks. The first one with 866 marks and the last one with 600, the maximum being 1000 marks.
