Patek Philippe & Cie. , Genève, No. 95815, case No. 227786, produced in 1892, sold on 5th July 1907. Very fine and almost certainly unique 18 ct. gold, coral set, keyless fob-watch. Four body, "bassine", the back with holly leaves in high relief open-work, set with coral seed-pearls. Hinged frosted gold cuvette. White enamel with gilt Roman numerals, star half-hour divisions and outer gilt Arabic minute ring. Gold Louis XV hands. Notes Although, according to the Archives, this movement was originally made in 1892 with a hunting case, the actual unique case with the marvellous holly branches was made by Patek Philippe, on special order, before being sold in 1907.
