Unsigned, Swiss, circa "1. 880. Fine gold, enamel, diamond and pearl set foret watch designed as a stag- beetle. Three part, underside realistically chased and engraved with legs and underbody, wing covers entirely decorated in shaded green enamel ( restored) set wilh rose-cul diamonds, the thorax loaded wing covers hinged and opening from a button in the base to reveal the dial. White enamel, Roman hour numerals. Blued-steel " spade" bands. Oval, frosted and gilt bar calibre, going barrel, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement and plain three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. In good condition. Dims. 65 mm., overall 26mm. wide.
