Le Roy & Fils, Horlogers de la Marine, Palais Royal, 13-15 Galerie Montpensier, Paris, No. 51506, circa 1880. Very fine and unusual 18 ct. gold and enamel, diamond-set, keyless pendant watch in the Louis XVI style. Four body, massive, "Louis XVI", bezels chased with laurel leaf decoration, the back chased with flowers and centred with the painted enamel portrait of a lady within a rose-cut diamond-set frame. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with blue Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Rose diamond-set " Louis XVI" hands.
