Etienne Baillon a Paris, circa 1710. Fine silver quarter repeating Louis IV "Oignon". Double body, "oignon", entirely engraved with foliage decoration, the back centred with a standing bird. White enamel embossed with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring (slightly restored on the border). Blued steel hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance set with a mock pendulum, gilt brass cock with pendulum aperture, engraved with birds and foliage decoration. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. Signed on the back plate. In good condition. Diam. 58 mm.
