Rare Montgomery County, Pennsylvania Schwenkfelder silk on linen sampler, dated 1801 , wrought by Regina Schultz , with overall decoration of pots of flowers, animals, people, furniture, etc. , 12 3/4" x 12 3/4" (minor losses). For a similar example, see Girlhood Embroidery , vol. II by Betty Ring. See Schultz family samplers in figures 446, 447, 448, and 449. It appears that Regina (b. 1783) was the second child of Reverend Melchoir Schultz and Salome Wagner.
