Unsigned, Geneva, circa 1800. "Le Fauconnier". Fine and rare 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set watch with automaton scene. Double body with split-pearl set bezel and glazed back over the enamel automaton scene in vari-coloured gold of a falconer riding a horse by a fountain, holding a falcon on his hand while the horse is quenching his thirst, the ground decorated with a landscape and blue translucent enamel over engine-turning, double twisted glass rods simulating the falling water, small automaton windmill on the background (enamel restored). White enamel with Arabic numerals and outer minute ring. Blued steel Breguet hands. Inverted gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator, the index in the dial-plate. The automaton scene is driven by an independent train with going barrel and fly-regulator. In good condition. Diam. 59 mm.
