Le Roy, Horloger du Roy, No. 3502, circa 1820. Fine and rare, 18K gold, quarter repeating watch with the unusual Le Roy, keyless winding and hand setting device. Three body, Empire, by J.F. Desenclos (Marter mark), with reeded band and engine-turned back. Hinged gilt brass cuvette with apertures for winding and hand setting knurled buttons. Silver engine-turned with Roman numerals on a polished chapter ring. Blued steel Breguet hands. Notes This watch is set with the early keyless winding and hand setting system invented by Le Roy circa 1818.
