West End Watch Co. , Swiss, made for the Indian Market, circa 1910 Fine and rare 18K gold and enamel hunting cased, pearl and diamond set, keyless, minute repeating, moon phase astronomical watch with triple calendar and chronograph. Four body, massive "bassine et filets", the band with champleve enamelled decoration, the dark blue enamel bezels with rose-cut diamond inlaid ornaments. The cover with blue champleve enamel Roman numerals on the dial aperture border, on a pink translucent enamel chapter ring, over engineturning, framed by a row of inlaid split-pearls and rose-cut diamonds. The back decorated en suite and centered with an oval finely painted scene depicting Dunne and the Golden Rain. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with "Empire" Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph rings, apertures for days of the week and months, sunk subsidiary dials for the dates and seconds with inner moon-phase aperture. Blued "pear" hands. 18-, gilt brass, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Chronograph with visible work, and push piece in the band. Signed on the dial. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm. Notes A very similar watch is illustrated in E. Jaquet and A.
