Two Cobalt-decorated Stoneware Crocks, America, late 19th century, a two-gallon straight-sided crock with lug handles manufactured by Nathan Clark, Jr. , Athens, New York (1843-1892), decorated with freehand painted cobalt blue flower blossoms, Albany slip-glazed interior, round impressed maker's mark; and a five-gallon straight-sided crock with lug handles decorated on the front with a cobalt stenciled rooster, Albany slip-glazed interior, (imperfections), ht. 9 1/4, 13 in. Clark crock- rim chip, cracks, one on base and up the side, another spreading on flower design, 1/2 in. rim chip; 5-gal. crock- hairlines by one handle and and through the other.
