Lawrence W. Grant (American, b. 1886) The Court of the Virgin, Venice . Signed "Lawrence Grant." l.l., titled in pencil on the reverse, inscribed "Lawrence Grant...Venice/c.1930" on a label on the reverse. Oil on panel, 18 x 14 3/4 in., framed. Condition: Split in the panel l.c., retouch. There is a partial stamp from Lucien Lefebvre on the reverse of the panel. The split in the panel is approximately 13 in. long, stretching from the bottom center into the middle of the panel. There is a pencil sketch measuring 4 x 7 in. on the back of the panel.
