American School, 19th Century Portrait of a Child Seated on a Red Cushion Holding an Apple. Unsigned. Oil on canvas, 30 x 24 1/2 in., in a later molded giltwood frame. Condition: Three patch repairs, craquelure, paint lifting u.c. and l.r., retouch, paint loss. Three patch repairs, upper center, lower center and lower right, paint lifting at u.c. and lower right on patched areas, retouch to area above child's head, at patches, rtight and lower edges, spots around edges of clothing.
