Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Flower and Vine Decoration, America, early 19th century, ovoid two-gallon wide-mouth jar with lug handles, one side decorated with a flower blossom centered with a "2," the reverse with decorated with a flowering vine on the shoulder, (minor chips), ht. 10 7/8 in. a 3/4 in. dia. rimchip with associated 1 in. hairline, and three other very small rim chips, three small shallow base chips.
