Two Blue-painted Wooden Buckets, America, 19th century, stave and lapped hoop construction, with swing handles, (wear), ht. 9 1/2, 12 in. The smaller bucket was originally painted gray, the larger bucket - loss on the tip of the lower lapped hoop,probably had a cover at some point.
