Wool and Silk Needlework Picture, early to mid-19th century, depicting a biblical scene of a young woman speaking to an older seated woman before a thatched cottage, various stitches on a silk ground with painted faces and sky, in giltwood frame, sight size 19 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. Silk mounted on muzlin, frame lacking backing on mounting and dust paper cover, shredding to silk including tear at old woman's chin and over young woman's shoulder to young woman's chin, various tears in sky, overall light toning and fading, age wear including darkening.
