Boston, Massachusetts Chippendale mahogany slant front desk, ca. 1770 , the blocked lid with central fan carving enclosing a fitted interior with an arched and raised panel prospect door flanked by document drawers with fluted columns, pigeon holes and and 12 small drawers, above a blocked case with 4 conforming, graduated drawers above a conforming base molding with a scalloped shell drop, resting on short cabriole legs terminating in ball and claw feet with shaped returns, appears to retain the original Chinese Chippendale brasses, 44 1/2" h., 40" w., 23" d.(carving on interior drawers possibly 19th c.).
