Joan Miró (Spanish, 1893-1983) Image from FUSÉES, 1959, edition of 65 plus proofs (Dupin, 261). Signed "Miró" in pencil l.r., inscribed "H.C." in pencil l.l. Color etching with aquatint on paper, plate size 5 x 7 in. (12.5 x 17.5 cm), framed. Condition: Margins over 2 1/4 inches, subtle toning, rub or crease to corner l.r., not examined out of frame. Provenance: Through the family of Eleanor Kanegis Levin, co-owner of Kanegis Gallery in Boston from 1953 to 1961, and the Retina Gallery in Cambridge from 1968 to 1971. The sight size of the sheet is 10 1/2 x 14 3/8 inches. There are creases along the plate mark from printing. Although it has not been removed from its frame, there are no additional visible issues to report. Sheet size 10 7/8 x 14 11/16 in.
