Le Corbusier (French/Swiss, 1887-1965) Plate 20 from UNITÉ, 1953, edition of 130. Signed "Le corbusier" in pencil l.r., numbered "65/130" in pencil l.l. Initialed and dated in the plate. Color etching and aquatint on cream paper, plate size 16 1/2 x 12 1/2 in. (41.9 x 31.7 cm), framed. Condition: Margins over 2 inches with deckled edges, not examined out of frame. Provenance: Through the family of Eleanor Kanegis Levin, co-owner of Kanegis Gallery in Boston from 1953 to 1961, and the Retina Gallery in Cambridge from 1968 to 1971. The sheet measures 22 5/8 x 17 3/8 inches, and is gently toned. There is very subtle rippling l.r. Inscribed verso " Levin 7544" l.r. There are no additional visible issues to report.
