Leopoldo Mariotti (Italian, 1848-1916) Droving Steer Signed and inscribed "Mariotti/ Roma" l. l., with a label from Frederick Keppel & Co., Chicago, on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 13 1/4 x 32 in. (33.7 x 81.3 cm), framed. Condition: Good. There is a small repair with retouch (just over 1/4 inch) to the left rear leg of the final cow, just above the hoof. There are several other tiny dots of retouch. There are also varnish inconsistencies.
