George F. Fuller (American, 1822-1884) Portrait of a Young Woman in a Field Signed "G. Fuller" l.l., inscribed "For Worcester Art Museum" on a label affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, 30 x 25 in. (76.2 x 63.5 cm), in a Paul Carter Goodnow frame. Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure. Scattered retouch to all quadrants but primarily to l.l. quadrant over a isosceles-shaped triangular area approx. 8 x 15 in. at extreme height and width, restretched, stable losses, craquelure throughout, retouch appears unobtrusive in natural light due to heavy impasto of the paint throughout.
