Attributed to Vettore Zanetti Zilla (Italian, 1864-1945) Mediterranean Fishing Boat Signed "Zanetti" l. l., with a label from J. Eastman Chase, Boston, on the backing paper. Watercolor on paper, sheet size 14 3/8 x 21 3/8 in. (36.5 x 54.3 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle toning, foxing, sheet mounted to cardboard backing. Newspaper used behind the frame backing dates from the May 16, 1893, issue of the Boston Daily Globe . Label on the backing paper is from J. Eastman Chase, Boston. The Frick Art Reference Library lists J. Eastman Chase as an art dealer who operated out of Boston ca. 1870's-1920's.
