Charles Henry Richert (American, 1880-1974) Lot of Eight Maine Landscapes Six signed "C. H. RICHERT." l.r. or l.l., two unsigned, each with artist and location inscribed on the reverse. Watercolor with graphite on paper, two mounted onto board, approximate sizes to 15 1/2 x 20 1/2 in. (39.4 x 52.1 cm), unframed (one with front mat). Condition: Toning, pale scattered staining and/or foxing (one with area of staining u.c.), tape and residue verso, one with losses l.c., one sandwiched between supporting board and front mat. Provenance: A Massachusetts estate. Most with brown paper tape hinge residue verso, one with loss along bottom edge measuring approx. 1/4 x 1 1/2 in., the work illustrated in the catalogue photo with staining to the clouds measuring approx. 2 x 8 in.
