John Whorf (American, 1903-1959) Morning Walk in the Common Signed and dated "John Whorf. ...5" l.r., titled and dated "...ca. 1945..." on a label from The Guild of Boston Artists affixed to the reverse. Watercolor on Arches paper, sheet size 22 x 30 in. (55.9 x 76.2 cm), framed. Condition: Brown paper tape and glue residue around the perimeter of the reverse, toning, mild acid burn and foxing. Deckled edged Arches paper drystamped "Torchon/Veritable Papier d'Arches" in an oval format. The label from The Guild of Boston Artists dates the watercolor to c. 1945.
