Gabor F. Peterdi (American, 1915-2001) Lot of Two Images: Glowing Tree, 1958, edition of 30, color etching with aquatint; and Wings of the Ocean, 1958, edition of 30, etching with aquatint printed in blue-black. Both signed and dated "Peterdi 58" in pencil l.r., titled in pencil l.c., and numbered in pencil l.l. Plate sizes to 22 1/2 x 31 5/8 in. (57.0 x 80.3 cm), framed. Condition: Toning and staining (especially to the latter), not examined out of frames. Although it has not been removed from its frame, the back of Wings has been opened enough to confirm the sheet is not laid down. Its margins are approximately 1 1/2 inches, but there is masking tape to the verso along the edges. Tree is numbered "18 - 30." The number of Wings is obscurred by the mat so only the 30 is visible.
