Pair of German Silver Chalices, likely Hanau, late 19th century, bearing London import marks for 1901, the inverted pear-shaped bowls molded with ribbed and curved spherules, with applied ropetwist band accented with flowerheads, on ribbed, reeded stem accented with a pierce-cast band of scrolls, on spreading foot with scalloped rim and band of further spherules, engraved with small crest at foot, ht. 8 5/8 in., approx. 39 troy oz. both with some slight compression of stem onto foot, causing the rims to not be level. otherwise good with minor age wear.
